Danielle Green is a true treasure! I'm so glad I found her (thanks, Yelpers!) and was able to schedule a consultation and a haircut. At the consultation, Danielle asked lots of questions (how do I normally wear my hair? do I wear hats? etc.) and was very attentive to my concerns (didn't want my hair too short). When I went back for the haircut, she recapped the consultation, and then gave me a great dry cut. She washed my hair, deep conditioned, and had me sit under the dryer for a short time. Before I left, she recommended a new product -- not in a pushy way, but in a very informative one. She specifically told me that she doesn't recommend products because there are so many on the market and so few that she is able to keep in stock. I liked that about her!
Before leaving, Danielle helped me get my hair to fall just the way I wanted it. She literally had me styling it myself ("use the brush like this, add some foam here....") so that I could achieve the look at home.
Like most curly girls, I was pretty nervous about the cut, and it has taken a little while to get used to it, which is why I'm giving four stars and not five: I haven't quite hit my hair-stride just yet, but I'm very pleased with Danielle and will be visiting her in the future when I am in town.
