DO NOT GO HERE. I initially went to Pioneer Pediatrics after meeting the doctor at the hospital when my son was born. I gave them a fair chance but there are just too many to explain. I went to two visits then decided to see a new doctor.
1. First visit took over an hour to be called back
2. Circumcision was never mentioned. Not at the hospital nor the second visit. I brought it up on the second visit and by then baby was over 30 days so I had to get a referral to a specialist (still waiting. . . )
3. On second visit none of the vaccines were administered. Dr. said it was because my insurance would not cover both a breathalizer and vaccines during a single visit. (Turns out she had my insurance confused the entire time.)
4. Second visit a breathalizer and medicine were prescribed. Had it not be for the God sent pharmacist at CVS my 4 WEEK OLD SON would have been given the WRONG DOSAGE. It may seem like too much of an issue for a breathalizer but what if the same mistake was made with a much more serious medication??!!
5. For some random reason they couldn't call in my prescription because that CVS was not in their system. (Odd enough, another patient was beign called by the receptions to go pick up a paper prescription b/c the Walgreens they requested was not in the system. Hmmmm....)
6. They always had my name and son's name spelled wrong.
7. During the second doctor's visit the dr. mentioned that the baby's heart rate was a bit high but that was it. They told me that babys sometimes do have heart rates that are a bit high/off. During my first visit with the new pediatrician I mentioned the heart rate. After about 2 minutes the new doctor said we would have to get into the cardiologist right away.
HOW ON EARTH DO YOU DISREGARD A NEWBORNS POTENTIAL HEART PROBLEM?????
Without going too much into detail a new doctor was able to catch various signs that indicated a serious potential issue within minutes. Pioneer Pediatrics just wrote it off as an average high heart rate for a baby (yes, I completely understand that babys regularly do have higher heart rates but this was much more than that.)
