I have been to many different vet hospitals over the years, and this is the absolute best. A few years ago, Scott Bainbridge solved an issue that other vets I had seen had not been able to help with. The change in my older dog was immediate - he had the energy of a puppy! In October of this year, this same dog, now nearly 15 years-old, had what appeared to be skin allergies. After a few appointments, when things were not progressing as they should have been, Paula Fisher urgently referred me to the Dermatology dept. at the VEC. My dog turned out to have a rare form of lymphoma, which we are treating with chemotherapy via the VEC Oncology department. At this point, he is thriving with the treatment, but the (very good) Oncologist was quick to tell me this was in part because it was caught so early. Thanks to Paula's fast action, he is doing much better than he could have been. But beyond that, Paula takes the time to keep in ongoing contact with both the VEC and myself, checking in on us, answering my many questions, and generally just being a great support in what has been an emotionally taxing time.
My other dog sees Scott Mathison, yet another great vet. And I would be remiss not to mention the hard-working front office staff and vet techs, all of whom manage to walk the fine line between efficient and friendly, and always do their best to accommodate us.
As the owner of two senior dogs, I feel very reassured to have Queen West Animal Hospital nearby. I would highly recommend them to other pet lovers.
