I was referred to Dr. Thomas by a friend. Being new to Vegas, I didn't know of any other ortho surgeons. The surgery was very speedy (too speedy?), but my recovery was not. I made an appointment with Dr. Thomas to discuss this and the option of injections in my shoulder but he said I would eventually feel better (took six months to see any significant progress in healing). Prepare to wait in his waiting room when you have an appointment. I feel Dr. Thomas is a qualified surgeon but his practice seems huge and he seems very busy all the time. I felt a bit rushed through surgery. His physical therapists are very good. I am fully recovered now, just took much more time than I anticipated. Dr. Thomas advised me to be patient when I complained of continued pain 3 months after surgery. He didn't offer any other type of intervention for the pain and limited movement of my shoulder. Dr. Thomas is very professional, very busy, and a qualified surgeon. I'd advise you to make an appointment for a consultation and see how he impresses you. Be prepared that he is not a hand holder! He is very matter of fact. But still a qualified surgeon in my opinion.
