I went to Ember (or Amber, not sure of the spelling) for the first time a couple weeks ago for a colour. I knew nothing about the salon except that it was located down the street from me in my new area, and that the prices were reasonable. They fit me in for a last-minute appointment on a Saturday afternoon, and Ember talked to me about my colour and the perfect shade of blonde. I'd been promised that before, with poor results, but she really listened and I figured it was worth a shot. It ended up being one of the best colour jobs I've ever had. She knows what she's doing and takes pride in her work. You can see that she loves her job. Exactly one week after, I got a call from the salon asking if my experience was good, and if I was happy with the colour. I've had my hair done at top salons, paying up to $300 at places like Vidal Sassoon, and I've never gotten a phone call like that. Before I got off the phone, I booked my next appointment. This could be love.
