This was a highlight of my trip. I'm a young professional and was in Vegas for business. I'm not successful enough to afford a watch,but I have been looking through jewelry stores for a good high-end selection.
While looking for a place to eat in the Venetian, I noticed Horologio, a name I instantly recognized as associated with watches. I walked in and began studying their wares. A friendly gentleman with short white hair asked me if there was anything I would like to look at. I assured him that I didn't have the money, and I'd only be wasting his time. Nonsense. He asked what I was looking for and spent the next 20-30 minutes trying out watches with me, delicately placing them on and off of my wrist.
I'm sitting here in a backwards hat and camo pants after a long day and he treated me so dignified and respectfully that I had a hard time not thinking about it for the rest of the evening. A class act. I checked out some other dealers, and saw him again in Cartier. He shook my hand and introduced me to the worker he was talking to. Unfortunately I don't remember this man's name, but he is someone I will remember for a long time.
