Class Selection: Decent for the humanities, arts (including film and culinary), computer programming, and nursing. Not so decent for anything else, in my ever-so-humble opinion. Professors: They're a mixed bag. Your best bet is to go to RateMyProfessor before signing up for a class so that you can see what other students had to say. This has saved me from some losers and also empowered me to choose only awesome professors. Honestly, if you don't look up your professor beforehand it's no one's fault but your own. I do feel sorry for the people who need a class that only has one or two really, really bad profs. Moment of silence for you guys. Your Classmates: A lot of snobby North Scottsdale kids. And a lot of people who are actually kids because there are high school students in some sort of program here. So, when you're in the entry-level classes, you might see immaturity and cliquishness as they're filled with high schoolers & teenagers who Just graduated from high school. There's also a sprinkling of twenty-somethings (like me), thank God, and then the veterans and middle-aged people who have come back to school after quite a few years. Mad respect to them. Cafeteria: Stocked with fresh pizza by the slice, deliciously overpriced turkey wraps and stacks of cold wrapped sandwiches alongside Snapple and salad. 4 stars, but I would say 5 if my taste buds were currently being manipulated by the pizza. The Campus: Weird banana-esque yellow chairs littered throughout the outside cartyard. Comfy red couches in almost every building where male students love to catch a snooze. An unimpressive library that makes me sad, seeing as the library is one of THE most essential organs of any school. So minus one star for that. Otherwise, SCC is solid.
