New Trend Alert: shaved ice is taking the GTA by storm. Soul was actually my first experience with shaved ice that I tasted a while ago. I was not sure what I was expecting at the time, but my SO and I happened upon it while waiting for our phone to be fixed. We actually went on the first day it opened, and the owners were nice people. Now being a ~slightly~ more experienced bingsu eater, I think they could have added more layers of flavor in between the ice to make it better. At the bottom it was just the ice. It was still a very decent dessert if you're just taking a stroll in P Mall or waiting for something (like a cracked screen for instance). $6 was not bad as well considering it was the size of a M/L yogen fruz cup. I give Soul a 3.5/5. I gave them a 4 as the service was good and that we were able to sit for a little bit. I would come again and perhaps make it a ritual every time a screen is cracked!
