Dr. Joseph Lee is one of the best docs I've ever met, and I say this as an aspiring doc myself! I came in for an embarrassing condition in an embarrassing place, and rather than being squeamish or eager to rush on to the next patient (this happened the week before with a different doctor), he asked questions without passing judgment (some docs do this with different lifestyles or stigmatized conditions), drew diagrams to explain what was likely going on, and made small talk while collecting samples and examining. These seem trivial, but demonstrate empathy and eagerness to involve his patients in their treatment by providing information and options. I also noticed him sometimes pausing to think deeply about possible conditions and appropriate treatments, instead of making quick assumptions and prescribing unnecessary antibiotics. The world needs more physicians like this! The staff here are also responsive and helpful. They answer phone calls right away, and I've never had to wait past a scheduled appointment time. All in all a great place, and I'm happy it's my primary care provider.
