Not being one to go to the big box home improvement stores, I wanted to check out what a "real" paint store was like. When we just moved into our new home, one of the first things we wanted to do was paint over the hideous looking ocean green color in the owner's suite. To be fair, this is the closest Sherwin-Williams Store to our home (about 5 minutes) and I've haven't been to any other Sherwin-Williams stores. As soon as I walk in, I'm greeted by the associate and he asks if there's anything he can help me with. I respond by saying my wife need this particular color and he say's no problem. In my opinion, he went above and beyond when he explained the different types of paints they have, such as quality, texture, warranty and how to not void the warranty by using proper care and maintenance.
At the end of the day, I feel more informed and somewhat well versed in paint speak, and when I painted the owner's suite, the paint performed exactly as the associate told me it would. Now, since they've earned my loyalty, I've been here on many occasions to buy paint, ask questions and get their opinions on what type of products would be best for certain situations. And, this Sherwin-Williams is an all in one stop shop, they have all the supplies you need and also, they offer a service to paint for you if need be, but I haven't used that service because I am a DIY type of person. I'm definitely a fan of Sherwin-Williams expert knowledge and customer service.
