My Italian friends maintain this place has the best pizza in Pittsburgh. Their crust is definitely on the softer side, so if you like a crispy pizza you may be disappointed, but it's full of flavor and topped with delicious sauce and cheese! I love smoked anything, so my favorite is the Provola (basically a margherita with smoked mozzarella). I have found I prefer not to order their pizzas with toppings: the first time I came here I had the Contadina, which I felt came with pitifully few pieces of eggplant. But if you stick with their simpler pizzas you can't go wrong As for the gelato, I love how they have creative flavors, but the gelato doesn't quite have the density and depth of flavor that you find in the best gelato places. I will admit I have extremely high standards when it comes to ice cream, so perhaps I am being overly picky, especially considering how hard it is to find gelato at all in Pittsburgh!
