This guy needs to find a new line of work. I was in his store this past weekend and have left feeling a little lousy. My boys and I went in to try and find an Alcatraz puzzle. He was busy with another customer when we arrived. While waiting there was a bird roaming free and was actually perched on the counter in front of us. I've bird sat in the past and know how to handle small birds. I put two fingers in front of the birds claws and it climbed on to my fingers. As I held the bird perched on my hand the owner abruptly came over and snatched it out of my hand and IMO forcibly put it back into it's cage.
A simple please don't touch the bird would've sufficed.
Yeah maybe I shouldn't have touched the bird, but if he didn't want anyone touching it he should've had it out of the cage. Just like anyone who has a dog roaming around their business. Everyone pets the dog (if it looks friendly).
After that awkward moment, I then proceeded to ask him if he had any Alcatraz puzzles. He had to Google what it was, then came up with "were a magic store, not a puzzle store".
After that my boys and I couldn't get out of there fast enough.
To think I've been seeing this guy over the past 15 years for my magic fix. I use to wander into his store when he was off center street.
Once thought of hiring him for my son's birthday party.
Not anymore. This guys an arrogant you know what.
