A really lovely shelter. We went a couple of days ago to adopt our new cat. The facility was clean and organized but it was clearly filled to capacity - rooms upon rooms filled with cats, most of them sleeping or meowing loudly at you as you walked by. I would suggest checking out their website and having a list of cats that you want to see, that way you can be far more efficient. We did that and we were able to talk to the people there about which cat from the list would be best for our home. Adopting your animal there is an easy process, and you walk away with a lifetime companion. We adopted a BEAUTIFUL 3 year old Lynx Point/Siamese mix. You just sign some papers and your animal is already spayed or neutered, microchipped, etc. They will even give you a list of veterinarians that are willing to give you a free first check up. Upon check-up, we did find that our cat had some serious plaque build up. She's only been in the shelter for a month or so, so it was most likely her diet in her old owner's home that caused the plaque problems in SUCH a young cat!! I believe at this shelter they feed the cats NutriSource, as we were given some samples of it to take home. The total cost for adopting our cat was only $40.
