It was Valentine's Day. We purposely chose Vincent because of a prior dinner experience there that was spectacular. Suffice it to say, we will never go back on any form of holiday. Upon arriving 15 minutes early for our reservation, we were told to wait in the "lounge." For the next 35 minutes, no one offered drinks (or anything, for sale or otherwise). We were escorted to our table through a disheveled service area. It looked to be where dirty dishes were kept after busing tables - it just looked that way when being led through. We saw when leaving the same way it was not. We each ordered dishes we had enjoyed before, but they were both too salty, my wife's duck was barely warm, and the sauce on my veal tenderloin was (except for salt) bland. OK, I know they were busy. It was Valentine' Day and they are popular. Incredibly, they had tables literally 12"-14" apart. Just guessing, but I would not be surprised if bringing in additional tables increased the evening's seating capacity by at least 25%. In short, it was horrifically crowded, cramped, and stuffy. There was one highlight - our server, Diane. She was absolutely marvelous!!! But, there are too many fine restaurants in Scottsdale to waste my money where the dollar trumps food quality, comfort, and ambience. My recommendation is to avoid Vincent on Camelback at all costs on holidays and weekends.
