The company who owns the last Hampton (Polaris, OH) must own this one too. Very nice hotel and the customer service is great (they thank you for Diamond status and smile when you speak with them). I rarely have any issues with any Hampton Inn hotels but this will be my last visit with this hotel as well as the one in Polaris. One thing that frequent travelers do not appreciate is when a hotel makes a change in between visits without letting you know about the change. With these two hotels, the change was that you had to pay for high speed internet. $5 per day for an upgrade to high speed or complimentary Internet for free. The free internet is as slow as my parents dial up speed from 1998. My company will not reimburse me for $20 for 4 days of high speed internet. This little change is upsetting. How can the #2 best franchise need to get $5 more to squeeze out of you? Other than that change that bothered me, if you're Diamond status (and I've done 100 Hilton nights this year), they will not offer an available room upgrade to you. You have to ask for it and cross your fingers. But the rooms are clean. The breakfast is great. Pool and gym are super nice and clean. But I'm not paying $25 week to enjoy modern internet to justify this hotel. Already shopping around for a closer hotel with that feature included for my next stay. I would like to make a suggestion that the owner of this hotel allow free high speed internet to Diamond members. Be mindful those fees come out of our pocket and will not be approved in an expense report. And for what it's worth I would give this hotel 3.5 stars if it were an option. When an area like Cleveland has weather that encourages someone to be inside, high speed internet is more valuable as the hotel options are scarce without the use of modern internet.
