Took the kids here after a Sunday matinee at YPT. Three adults, two kids. We sat in a separate area at the back so we wouldn't bug any of the barflies at the bar. Okay, so it's a bar/pub. But we weren't the only people in there with kids.
Our server was miserable, unsmiling, and seemed genuinely put-out by our presence. She brought everyone's meal but mine. THe rest of the table was about 1/3rd of the way done their meals before mine showed up. I said "thanks" and the server muttered "sorry...I have 20 other tables" as she stomped off.
I had smoked salmon on rye with cream cheese. It was fine. Stingy with the cream cheese, plentiful with the onion slices. It came with a side salad that had pieces that we're definitely past their prime (think black slime stuck to spinach leaves).
The kids split a burger which they seemed to like. Husband has the French toast which looked very average. Nana had bacon and eggs. Whatever.
The food is fine. The service is slow and unpleasant. On the upside it was cheap. We won't be back.
