Pros, Cons, then summary
Went here with the family for Monster Jam World Finals.
I thought I'd save some money and stay close to Sam Boyd Stadium. My reasoning was that I would have more money for food and stuff for the kids at Monster Jam. It's a Motel 6, I get it, but I have stayed at several Motel 6 hotels over the years and none were as bad as this.
PROS--Not much. There was a flat screen TV that was fairly new.. Also, the A/C unit was icy cold all weekend, which I really enjoyed and was thankful for. Aside from that, there really isn't much else that was good. The maids came and left in a timely manner, and we always had new towels.
CONS--Many. First off, this is a ghetto motel with all sorts of baseheads, meth addicts, and other shady looking people. The homeless people hang out on the wall by the parking, and seem to live there as they were on the wall the entire 4 days we were there. The pool was tiny. Much too tiny for the size of the hotel. There was not any hair dryer or iron in the room.
Would I come back here? Never. It's not worth the savings. Stay at a better hotel. At least you'll sleep better knowing you won't be a victim of a home invasion and your car is safe. Don't come here with a family, and if you have a CCW permit and gun, go ahead and bring it if you decide to come here.
