This is a fantastic option for getting around Vegas if you have time to spare and are on a budget.
I planned a last minute trip and saving money was of top priority. If you are visiting and not familiar with the public transit, definitely plan out your route before you get there. I went on their website and planned the route and it worked out perfectly. The bus I needed to take was on time and the directions I got were right on point. The only issue I had was when I was transferring buses and wasn't quite sure where to walk. Luckily, a friendly local helped me out.
If you are not a local, you can purchase a 2 hour pass for $6.00 and that was just what I needed. The bus took me directly to my hotel and it took about 45 minutes total. For saving $25.00 on a cab, it was worth it for me. More money to spend on gambling!
