My husband and I were excited about our first night out together since our daughter was born. We decided on Beckett's because of all the great reviews and a couple personal recommendations. The atmosphere and service was good but food was pretty awful. We had the deviled egg of the day and the bacon stuffing as appetizers. The garlic sauce on the deviled eggs were too overpowering and you forgot you were eating a deviled egg. The bacon stuffing was ok but basically a stove top recipe with stuffing added and was very dry. My pork osso bucco was great and the best thing we ordered next to the water they served. The spaetzle should not have had bacon in it. Not sure why you would add bacon to a pork dish. My husband's burger was awful. Too greasy, too bacony, too cheesey. We concluded the food fest with the "award winning" fig/ pecan pie. The cheesecake ice cream tasted like Maalox and pie was just as good as a store bought one. Unfortunately we will not be returning nor did we understand all the hype about this place. I guess in my humble opinion do not over infuse. Not everything needs to have bacon in the mix, sometimes simplicity is best.
