It was 100 degrees outside and we were already half baked. We found this nice little ice cream shop inside Harrah's. It has a banner saying its first priority is to provide healthier lifestyle, which sounds ironic for an ice cream parlor, but you'll get the point later.
You know how there is always various flavor selections in glass display at most ice cream place, prompting you to make the most difficult decision of your life? Well, there isn't any here. This is because they mix everything after you order. How it goes is, you select the ice cream base, then select the milk type and finally the toppings.
After some serious pondering, I eventually went with red bean ice cream with soy milk, then mochi and pecans as toppings. The guy started mixing everything up which showed they tried to make things as fresh as possible. The stuff slowly taking shape and while I was busy being mesmerized, it was done! The end result is few scoops of delicious ice cream that is not overpoweringly sweet. So in a way, this is healthier then usual ice cream. We absolutely love it! The chewy mochi and crunchy pecans give an interesting texture combination with every bite, I am proud of myself for choosing those lol.
I would totally come here again when I feel burnt and err.. want something healthy.
