On my way to Verde in the same plaza, I noticed that the bakery was still open. Usually when I'm near, it's way past closing hours. I glance in the big windows from my car and it appears that all the cupcakes were sold for the day, since it was almost 8pm. I get out my car for a closer look. It has been over a week since I've forked over money in ANY bakery around town, so the sugar monster inside egged me on to get a little closer. As I'm near the door I see there are a few left on the various stands. There were about 20, and approximately 5 or 6 flavors available. I chose 2 chocolate cream with vanilla filling and two more chocolate flavors, one with vanilla on top, the other with chocolate. There is a lot of space for seats and a play area for children. I can't say that I've ever eaten cupcakes in any shop, I'd rather stuff my face in the privacy of my own home. But if you have more self control than I do, there is room for a few groups of people to enjoy their treats. Later that evening, while savoring my first big bite, I told myself that subsequent trips to Huntersville meant I should stop in again and again. They are a healthy size, moist and not overly sweet. I was very satisfied with these cupcakes.
