We took the Grand Canyon South Rim tour yesterday and it was wonderful!
We got collected from our hotel door at 06:15 and taken to the Gray Line depot where they explained the check in process clearly and gave advice on add ons. There was a bit of waiting around but it wasn't too bad. Once checked in we get shown our buses and set off. The bus driver was the tour guide along the way and also there was a recording being played of interesting facts and features too.
Our first stop was Hoover Dam, it was a very short stop, only 20mins to get up the steps, take pictures and get back down again but it was achievable. There was another stop off then we went to the National Geographic Centre for lunch and to see the IMAX Grand Canyon Movie. This was an additional extra, $15, and you had to purchase this at check-in.
From here we went to our first stop in the Grand Canyon where we had 1hr, it was breathtaking. After this we went to another point with equally stunning views. We had an hour here too which again was plenty of time.
It was a long day, but the coaches were spacious, well air conditioned and comfortable and the driver was funny and knowledgeable. It was a great experience. Thoroughly enjoyed
