This last time in Vegas I swore we would get to The Wicked Spoon based on the Yelp reviews.. We went on a Sunday evening. No line, we walked right in. As a Vegetarian I am typically hard pressed to find much at a Buffet and never get my monies worth. Hubbys the carnivore so buffets can be a good thing for him. Neither of us eat fish so no excitement over any seafood that is offered at any buffet. There were enough Vegetarian items for me to feel satisfied especially after seeing the dessert area, I knew I wanted to save room for that. I really enjoyed the Asian noodles the most. They were so good. They came in a little box. The Mac and Cheese Station is a great idea. My server was enthusiastic with the cheese, so it was a bit too cheesy for me. However the next time I will know to tell them easy on the cheese. Hubby was not so impressed with his food. The Prime Rib was chewy and tough. The chicken breast ordinary. Nothing made him go wow.. Dessert, well now thats an entirely different story. Without a doubt The Wicked Spoon has the nicest Desserts and selection of any buffet we have tried in Vegas. My favorite was the Tiramisu gelato, yummy! I also loved the rice pudding. Good thing those come in individual portions. I might have run off with an entire chafing dish of it. Then there was this little chocolate cone thing that was SO good! My one complaint/observation- and the reason for a 3 star instead of 4- was that since it was Sunday it seemed like they had run out of things and were not replacing or restocking. Example, there were no macaroons. The dessert area looked nothing like it does in some of the photos here on Yelp. One would think for the money they should keep everything stocked all the time. The presentation is beautiful. Hubby said he would go back, but definitely at a different time and day to see if they take better care of the clientele, rather then resting on their reputation.
