From my childhood days of visiting Carowinds, this place has always held a special spot in my heart! Now, some 40 years later, I've seen this place grow to the point of being the 5th largest park in the world for coaster rides! The grounds are immaculate, the rides are extreme, the food overpriced, and the attached water park is included in your admission! On a 90 degree day they offer free ice water at any drink kiosk which is extremely helpful on this 100 degree day that I visited! My suggestion is to go on a hot day, hit the rides for three hours as the lines are short, and then go cool off in the water park!
