Zoss is a fantastic, high quality European bakery! It is located in an unassuming brick building, and even though it faces out to Cedar Road, it is in an easy to miss location set back on Cedar Hill. I have to admit, I drove by it for years before I tried it recently after reading some stellar Yelp reviews. I am so happy I finally did! The staff here is patient, friendly, and very helpful, and everything I've tasted here, from the papillion to the chocolate dipped cookies, has been fresh and taste of real ingredients, like butter, chocolate, etc. Nothing artificial here! But for me, there are two stand-out baked goods: the Bavarian pretzels and the palmiers. I have been craving an authentic Bavarian pretzel since I came home from a trip to Munich, and this is the only one I found in Cleveland that even comes close to that taste! Smooth on the outside, and soft and pillowy on the inside! On Fridays and Saturdays for the month of October, they are selling beautiful, oversized pretzels! Absolutely delicious! The palmier are so butter, flaky, crispy, and a little bit chewy. It's like a little bite of France! So deliciously fresh...I'm getting hungry just writing about them! Zoss might be small, but it is mighty when it comes to its delightful Swiss baked goods!
