I'm looking for a new doctor so I don't have to come here anymore. Ruth Ramirez is an advanced practice registered nurse. (APRN), and she didn't even read my folder from when I'd been there a few months ago. The medicine she prescribed me is having terrible effects-- I think she hands out whatever meds are new and pushed onto her from her reps. I'm now on several psychotropics, but no one has called to check on how I'm doing. No blood work was done, even though I've since read one of my meds lists that blood should be monitored if a history of diabetes. Not to mention that one of my main complaints was weight gain over the past year. So what does she do? The new meds she put me on have a very high statistic of causing MORE weight gain! The available hours are terrible for working folks. I always have to take a leave from work for an appoinment here. The location is in a sketchy part of town. The wait is always too long: I was told to come early if I could for my 5pm appointment, so showed up at 4:45. Wasn't seen until almost 6. And the blaring TV in the dingy waiting room is enough to cause anxiety if you didn't have it already.
