Uber is my go to when I need ride. Not just here in Charlotte, I use Uber every time I'm traveling in other cities.
The one reason I prefer Uber: the cost. Right now, it's just so much cheaper than cabs. If you're not super familiar with Uber and how it works you just need to make sure you pay attention to the surges. That is the only time it is crazy expensive.
Most drivers rely on their mapping system. If you know a quicker or better way, make sure to speak up and let them know. You can rate your driver each time and they can also rate you. So, don't be a dick to them.
