I always used to fly United Airlines. Been flying them since around 2000. Flew SWA for the first time in around 2002 and wasn't a fan. The whole cattle call boarding didn't really appeal to me. I was used to the whole assigned seats and the America West/US Airways/American Airlines ways. Cut to 2011... SOUTHWEST AIRLINES ROCKS! With all the airlines penny pinching, the airline without perks is now the airline with ALL THE PERKS!!! I will consider SWA over almost any airline. The ability to check bags without a cost usually makes SWA the cheaper airline. The energy of the on-board staff and other support personnel is second to none. I still have a pile of United Airlines miles, but I'm almost caught up in the Rapid Rewards program. I love the fact that I can book ANY flight with my RR Points... Even same day travel. The other thing that I love is I can rebook any flight with paying a change fee (only fare difference) also ROCKS! Catch me aboard a future SWA flight...
