Outside of my hotel room, McCarran is the only place I've gotten lucky in Las Vegas. Twice, while waiting for flights, I hit jackpots, albeit small and rather insignificant. Still, that rush, that thrill, that jubilation when you first hear those bells.... priceless. Then reality sets in and you realize it's only a 0.0023% return of what you've sunk into Vegas. Still, it's something, right? Right? McCarran is a fun airport to fly out of, because you can still do Vegas while you're waiting to be transported back to the mundane existence you call home. Have a drink. Gamble. Watch a strip show. Well... you may have to google that last thing. Flying in it's much like any other airport. You just want to get the hell out and start your vacation ASAP! Getting your rental car or a taxi onto the strip is relatively quick and simple, from my experiences. Pretty typical airport. Could use some updating. I'm giving a 4th star for the slots!!
