Kierland Commons is quite a nice place to visit if you're in the mood for some fairly high end shopping or some nice dining spots. The layout is actually nice, though parking can often be frustrating. Be prepared to drive around a bit, but with persistence you'll be ok. In a pinch, go across Scottsdale Rd to the free parking garage in Scottsdale Quarter. You'll likely be strolling over there in any case.
While the shopping is definitely a reason to go, these days I'm more drawn to the spots to grab a bite and a drink. Postino's has become a favorite, but there are more mainstream spots like Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Chang's, Starbuck's, etc. All in all Kierland Commons is a fun place to walk around, window shop and enjoy some good food and drink. Christmas time is fun as well, nicely decorated and festive. Take a look for yourself.
