Honestly, I don't get the hype. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing, but I definitely preferred Frite Alors.
We went around 2 on a dreary Saturday and waited for about an hour. My assumption is there's always a wait no matter what time it is, so plan for that. They do do takeout and there's a park a block away, so on a nice day that's probably a more pleasant option.
We were just there for a midday snack so we shared a regular with bacon. The gravy was thick and weirdly sweet - not to my liking. The cheese curds and fried were good - no complaints there. But the bacon was the lame, precooked kind. A definite disappointment. I think the highlight was (surprisingly for how busy they were) the service. Our waitress came back twice to check on us, made sure we got water, our food, and the check in a timely manner.
