About a two months ago I wrote a letter to my gym outlining my issues hoping something would change, but nothing has changed. Yesterday I had a breaking point when trying to work out in that on top of my issues I have with my membership compounded with that I could hardly find any weights. Primarily everyone using weights were doing some sort of circuit training and holding everything up. Before walking out I asked how to cancel my membership and without skipping a beat the rep pointed me to the phone number to call. I was half thinking they would ask me why I wanted to cancel. I prompted him asking is he not concerned why a member wants to cancel, uh...well sure. I tried explaining the issues, but I could tell he didn't care and I just walked out. Some of the issues I have and outlined the in the letter I sent them a few months ago: * Weights are never re-racked. They are either dropped or placed where ever. Weights are basically spewed where ever. So I spend majority of my workout trying to find another 25lb plate or un-racking someone else's mess. Even with the signs up there is never any enforcement from the staff regarding this. I understand that all gyms have this issue, but at least other gyms I've been part of will either staff enforce the policy or at least organize the weights throughout the day. * Trash on the floor. I've seen members kicking the trash away from the equipment they're using. Equipment hardly ever wiped down. Ehh not a big deal I wipe down before using anyways. * Unfriendly staff and trainers. Majority of the time they are holed up in an office or gathering around the front desk. * When I signed up I was told about their protein bar among other amenities. Those other amenities and protein bar is never opened. Sign always says I'll be right back. For $40 a month I can get a better experience at another gym.
