I'm actually surprised at some of the bad reviews for this place. We stopped by recently, afternoon time, and really enjoyed the cupcakes we got. Being afternoon, I think 3-ish, they were about 90% sold out - evidently they open early and sell out quick like a donut shop. Anyway, my two daughters and I stopped by while we were walking around Hudson and shopping, and we each got a different cupcake.
First off, the cupcakes are big, but not huge. And the flavors are very unique. We thought all 3 cupcakes had rich, creamy frosting, and the cake was very moist. No complaints about quality at all.
I got the Pina Colada cupcake, and it was so good! I find it amazing how much they can actually get a cupcake to taste like a Pina Colada. Yummy!
One of my daughters got the Red Velvet cupcake - Red Velvet cake being her favorite, and she liked it a lot. I tasted it, and it was very, very rich - the cream cheese frosting was delicious!
My other daughter got the Pink Lemonade cupcake, and that was really good too. It tasted just like pink lemonade. Very cool and refreshing, even while being rich at the same time. She really enjoyed it.
Overall, we left very happy, impressed and satisfied. We intend to go back again. The only problem is that they told me that they close when they sell out of cupcakes. So that could be 4:00pm, 3:00pm, 2:00pm, noon, who knows ...... So kind of hard to plan a visit when you never know if they're going to be open or not. I would recommend getting there early or at least call ahead to see if they're open. Like I said, they're similar to a donut shop, so keep that in mind. Really good, unique cupcakes though! :)
