Went in to get an estimate on a Transmission rebuild/ factory replacement and check engine light. The mechanic and the desk clerk said I need to do a transmission flush and replace a faulty brake light switch( also operated the cruise control). So I bought the $179 service plus a brake light switch to total over $300 . After I left the same day my transmission was still slipping. Break light with operated the cruise control also stopped working in about 2 days. Brake light switch was faulty, I think they did not use OEM GM part..... probably some junk from China. When I came back and explained that my transmission was still slipping they said I need a New Transmission....... Really? I thought that is what I came in for ....When I realized my brake light switch didn't work properly either I called them about it ..... they said they don't have time for me and are swamped... I should come by in a couple of days. So I went to another shop.... pro Trans. who told me they should have never flushed my transmission at 117K. "Just by dropping the pan and an experienced transmission mechanic can see by looking at the transmission oil, if there was any debris from the transmission." But he cant do this with fresh transmission oil. So in other words I got tricked into leaving a quick 300 instead of a Estimate for my transmission. Not to mention my brake light switch didn't work at all after leaving the shop. Poor parts. poor service. Sold me something I didn't need, and a part that still doesn't work!!! Terrible I wish I went to a transmission shop first...... I should have know better. You don't go to a pedritian for a heart problem. This mechanic isn't even good for oil change. Next time I am going to the dealer not to this Mickey Mouse Shop. Not happy at all!!!
