I had not been to this office for over 10 years, but my experience then was rather good, so I decided to visit again for a general full check up.
PAPERWORK:
There is quite a bit of paperwork to fill out as a new patient or if you have not been there in years. They have the packet online. Print/fill out and sign prior to your visit to save time.
RECEPTION DESK:
Greeted me upon entering, was very friendly, efficient, and tended to my check in quickly. Very satisfied. Check in to actual appointment time: Right on time or early!
MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL SEEN:
Thought I was going to see one of the doctors, but instead was seen by a Physician Assistant, Velika Lotwala.
EXPERIENCE:
I ended up being very pleased with Velika for my full scan appointment. She was very friendly, professional, and made me feel at ease with my anxiety of some skin areas I wanted to have checked. She not only answered all of my many questions thoroughly and satisfactorily, but she welcomed my list of items to specifically examine.
For each item, she explained what the item was, whether it was something to be concerned about, and informed me of the options and the recovery experience and cautions if I decided to have anything removed. This was extremely helpful.
I was very impressed with her knowledge and experience. She even answered my questions about the magnifying glass she was using and what she was specifically looking for. Being of a technical nature, I was interested in the science and such. Very thankful for her informative responses and explanations to my questions.
She was very patient, and I did not at all feel rushed like I usually do at various medical appointments. I definitely recommend Velika and this office.
As per standard, she stated that I should visit annually for a check up. I plan to. I do trust that her evaluations were accurate.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Visit dermatologist annually for a full scan.
- Use sunscreen, specifically the physical sunscreens that either include Titanium Dioxide and/or Zinc Oxide and chemical free.
