This place is A-ok, so to speak. First, the positives:
+really solid food- I wouldn't say anything is "amazing" or "inspired"- but it is high quality and delicious.
+ great cocktails
+fantastic ambiance no matter where you are.
Cons:
- I wouldn't call this a con, but this is in a place that I'm just "dying to go to"- i've never walked away unhappy but I've never thought man I really want to go to soba tonight. Likewise I wouldn't put it on a list of must do restaurants in Pittsburgh
- it's over priced
- can get a wee bit crowded and as noted in other reviews, parking is a bit tough.
Over all if you live in Pittsburgh, or you visit a lot, this place is definitely worth a try for the variety. However if you're only visiting, I would say find something more unique.
