I had a bad experience with Dr. Keri Carlson. I took my cat there...because she has a reputation for being able to treat pancreatitis..and I was hoping that is what my cat had rather than lymphoma. Two days later when I called..only the vet assistant was there, and they wanted me to drop my kitty off..and get a urinalysis..and I explained poor Cricket was dehydrated and wouldn't be able to pee...the vet tech didn't seem to hear me. I became overally emotional..which was my mistake..because I was worried about the bill..and couldn't afford another $100.00 for a urinalysis, which is twice what most vets charge, and I really wanted Cricket to get fluids instead. Dr. Carlson, then called me, and fired me as a client. She was quite mean. I also found out later, that the blood test she does for lymphoma is not accurate in a cat that is on prednisone. She shouldn't have ordered it for my cat since she is on prednisone. Also, she will not refer to the U of I vet clinic..and I recently talked to another client she had fired when the person disagreed with her course of treatment. I would be just be wary of working with her...because doesn't know how to handle people well...and understand someone could be overly emotional when their pet is dying. Lisa
