I never would've considered eating fried chicken from a gas station. Never. BUT... My office decided that it was time for an internal show-down. The Quik Shoppe fried chicken vs the legendary "other place nearby that only takes cash."... So we ordered 80 pieces of spicy friend chicken and a butt load (yes, a butt load) of potato wedges (because vegetables) and carted them back to the office. The "other place that only takes cash" won in a blind taste testing of nearly 60 people by landslide (other place 49; Quik Shoppe 10). That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this chicken!! It was crispy, done to perfection, and nice and juicy and tender!! The wedges were a major hit too! Although it's still not my first choice for fried chicken, it's a very very close second! Do they even sell gas here?!
