I stopped at the Pour House this afternoon to catch up with a friend. Beautifully decorated, clean, and a funny/dry bartender. My friend got coffee, I got a root beer (the responsible though tough choice with their tasty beer menu), and we split the artichoke dip. The dip was a bit greasy, but totally tasty, and served with an assortment of crackers (I'm pretty into crackers, so I was pumped to have six to choose from) (I am a huge nerd, because this genuinely excited me). There's a giant screen in the back of the bar, so it'd be great for sports-watching if you don't want to go to a sports bar, and the tables feature trivia/Trivial Pursuit cards and cards from the 1986 version of Scruples. My favorite question involved the tough choice of putting out your cigarette if someone was having a reaction to the smoke during a business meeting. Who knew you could still smoke at work in the 80s?
