My wife had an appointment over the weekend for a hair loss issue. Since we were there, she decided to get her body checked for any skin abnormalities. Dr. Schulman appeared to be friendly at first but his comments became provocative and unnecessary. He kept looking at me and saying this will give you an excuse to get naked with each other. He could've just said, "Make sure you guys are checking each other for any abnormalities." That's what dermatologists typically say to their patients. Dr. Schulman had been asking how long we've been married and it's obvious that we're both females. He even asked where we went to get married because same-sex marriage wasn't legal at that time. He then said, "You and your husband" to my wife. The nurse in the room became uncomfortable, as did I. Once the exam was complete and they left the room, my wife looked at me and said we would never come back to this dermatologist...to which I agreed. As we left the exam room, I could hear the nurse talking to someone else about what Dr. Schulman had said about me and they were both laughing. Overall just an underwhelming, unprofessional visit. Will not be returning.
