$39.00 "first time special" for a less than clean cleaning. Don't expect to walk out the door without huge up-sell (complete with a smile). They actually told my 17 year old daughter (who is completely healthy and has never smoked or drank alcohol in her life) that she may have mouth cancer because there was a dark spot on her Xray. They want to send her to "their" specialist for testing, possible biopsy and if cancer is ruled out, she'll likely need a root canal and crown. Oh, and I need a deep scale cleaning ($800) on their plan (they could squeeze me in today) and I also need 2 crowns. We're talkin' at least 3 grand for both of us! Definitely time for a second opinion.
Funny thing is our previous dentist (we've gone to every six months) has never mentioned any of these issues to either of us.
Don't bother ...unless you are prepared for fear tactics and spending a LOT of money.
