BAIT AND SWITCH! Everyone else wasn't kidding. We came here because of a deal we saw through the Sam's club/true car program that gave us $100 off the purchase of a car we were interested in. We told them about the deal when we got there and the guy said "ok, no problem, we just have to print it out" so we looked at the car and decided to go ahead with the purchase. I mentioned the deal to our sales person multiple times, he said "no problem, we do those all the time" then when all the credit checks are done and paperwork is finally ready to sign... "oh, actually we can't honor that because it's not for a cash purchase or USAA financing" I was thoroughly upset and asked to talk to someone. Greg came out and was a total jerk. He was rude, kept interrupting me, and was very unprofessional. I showed him the price guarantee certificate, I tried to show him the terms but I couldn't get a word in. I explained that it says nothing about cash or usaa only, matter of fact, I pointed out that it shows a finance estimate right on the email so obviously it wasn't for cash only. The sales guy told us we could call the next day and talk to Dave to get it all straightened out. So I called, and he had the exact same attitude. Said it was Truecar's fault and they never agreed to anything, blah, blah, he was a total jerk. Then said "I don't get why you're fighting so hard about $100.00" seriously, it is the principal of the matter. That $100 was why we went to there in the first place, then they say no problem, we'll honor it, multiple times, two DIFFERENT people, then all the sudden AFTER they run our credit and try to get us with a rediculously high 11% interest rate, after all that, suddenly they don't honor it. We are a small family, every dollar counts for us, you're a car dealership, and you wanna tell me, you don't GET why I'm fighting for it. I clip .25 cent coupons you jerk. Anyway, I called truecar and they said the dealership was completely out of line, the dealership set the promo up themselves, and there was absolutely NO reason they shouldn't honor it. So, lotta good it does me. I'm still out $100 bucks but at least I know I was right, and I can tell EVERY, SINGLE PERSON I talk to what unprofessional jerks they are. Idk how they operate with no one giving them referrals, maybe by baiting people with coupons they don't honor I guess.
