Meh, I have experienced better is a great description for how this place made me feel. I was really excited to see this coffee shop open up as I have been watching and waiting for what felt like forever! Phoenix NEEDS this type of establishment so I was very disappointed with my experience. Service was friendly but a bit inept. I ordered two drip coffees. One gets filled and then the carafe runs out half way through the second cup. Not a huge deal. I am told he has to brew some more and I watch him take the carafe to the back. I also ordered a bagel with cream cheese so I had a minute to wait anyway while it toasted. Part way through my order another customer comes in (the only other one I saw in the place). I finish and I am waiting for the rest of my coffee/bagel when the customer who just came in orders a drip coffee. The worker said he had to brew some and ONLY THEN goes and actually puts the coffee on to brew. Like, I have been standing here waiting and it wasn't even brewing yet? It just seemed like the entire order process was so slow for the minimal I was ordering... any way. I finally get my coffee and bagel and head to work. This entire interaction took about 15 min and that just seems excessive in a slow place with a simple order. Then the best part. Bagel was BURNED, like black on half of both sides. The coffee was weak and more like coffee flavored hot water. So a long wait for sub par stuff was frustrating. To close this out I was really hoping for a bit larger menu than bagels and donuts. Maybe some quiche, breakfast sandwiches type fare? I will give them some time to work out the kinks and try again in the future. This COULD be a great addition to Phoenix just needs to step it up a bit.
