Listen, this is probably my favourite coffee shop downtown, especially since I live right across the street from it. The coffee and atmosphere are great, but I have yet to receive a smile from the baristas there. Yes, they can be friendly, but it's awfully forced and fake. One of the baristas (I reckon he's new) never smiles, and most of my friends who have come in did not like the attitude or the extreme lack of eye contact.
I understand some employees may not have the greatest of days, but please, many of us do not. Though your cup of coffee is great, I smile and greet them warmly as they give me pure icey looks.
Adam, you're a cool owner, but you should smile a bit more too.
Black Bear can become one of the top cafes downtown, and the only thing you're lacking is warm employees.
