I love this place - but be careful if you have a very specific hair cut you want. I've been three times and honestly it was all about the massage. For $40 you get an amazing scalp massage, followed by about a 15 minute neck & shoulder massage. Throw in a haircut, wash & blowdry and its definitely cheaper than that massage stand at the mall.
I generally go with no expectations regarding the haircut and assume they'll do something cool. Now most people probably wouldn't do this, but in my experience, I end up with a much better haircut this way than trying to make my hair do something it just doesn't want to. I've been for both short hair cuts (a few years ago) and a longer haircut (recently). Steve did an awesome job with my nondescript request for "something that won't make my face look fat". He took my long, blunt-cut hair and gave it super light layers while somehow maintaining my long hair. He cut it dry and then sent me for the hair wash/massage. The blow dry followed and he did a really nice job adding some volume and curl to my normally flat, white girl hair. I love how my hair feels like it weighs 5 pounds less and yet still looks like I have long hair. Kudos! I'll be back for sure.
