This park is great- trees, grass, lots of grills, nice big walking trail with shade, fabulous pool that is cheap and rarely busy, and a community center. I walk the dog here early in the morning, jog the trail into the night, kids went to preschool here and took swim lessons. I cant say enough about their swim lessons- sooo reasonably priced, great instructors, wish they went all year. Picnic areas get a lot of use on summer weekends, so grab your spot early. Yes, like any big city park with grass and mature trees, there are occasionally homeless people. I can't say that it's ever been an issue.
