Dr. McFarlane has been treating my family for several years now. I have always considered East Valley Family Healthcare an important part of our healthcare team; even more so after my 19 year old daughter saw Dr. McFarlane for a routine chiropractic visit to treat her debilitating headache and stiff, sore neck. After evaluating her, he found that she had other symptoms and recommended she go straight to the ER, which we did. The ER doctor dismissed her as having a "stress headache" and sent her home with prescriptions for muscle relaxers and narcotic pain medication; a week later, at the Mayo Clinic, it was found that she had mononucleosis AND viral meningitis. I credit Dr. McFarlane for listening to his patient and acting quickly, and only wish certain other healthcare professionals did the same (looking at you, Dr. Paul Gilbert at Dignity Health ER on Gilbert and Germann).
