Ok, so this is the little shoe repair place right in parking lot of the Metro grocery store at College and Clinton, at the corner. I brought in my Birkenstock sandals to have the soles replaced. I told him I was going on vacation the next day and needed it quick. The guy had it turned around in less than 4 hours, before the end of the day which was cool. He used the Vibram soles rather than Birkenstock proper. Appears to be well done; you can be sure I'll post a follow up if it turns out to suck. A question (which may be better suited for the forums) ... I paid $50 for this, tax included.... Is this a reasonable price? Seems like a lot when I look at it as I type it. Further, not to get off on a rant here, but I didn't realize that when I was purchasing Birkenstock that it was really more of a yearly plan than a one-time purchase... I need to get the soles replaced every year, I mean come on!
