A li'l more info on this place, and an added star:
* Some of the regular (booking site cheapo) rooms don't have conjoining doors, I got a double on the top floor that didn't this time. So definitely ask about that.
* Aloha Specialties is as legit as advertised, I see why it's packed out all the time. Pricing is quite reasonable for anywhere in Vegas given the quality and portion size, let alone the usually jacked-up downtown casino area. And even when it's packed out, if you order something not too complicated like a rice or noodle bowl, it'll take less than 10 min. to come out.
* I like being around all the Hawaiian people. They're always so polite and happy. It's so different from the usual Fremont St. experience. You don't get all that late hours noise way out here either.
* Still no resort fee but it'll be $10 extra per day for in-room wifi .... Boyd properties now all have free wifi on the casino floors though. It doesn't stretch up to the top floor but possibly the lower floors. In a pinch you can get it from the 2nd floor at a table at Aloha Specialties while enjoying some of their kickass food. There's seating in the hotel lobby you could use for this purpose too.
