I'm reviewing the retail side of the business. Sorry for the long post (if lacking time jump to the second paragraph) I went in a few days ago to buy my husband a starter straight razor set. The man helping me was very knowledgeable, but was very much a salesman. I asked a ton of questions as I have no idea about straight razor shaving, when I would ask about products he would break it down in how much we'd be saving over the course of a few years.. It was a little annoying as I knew I was going to be spending a lot of money so that bit of savings over the years wasn't really top of mind. But I understand he was doing his job. The reason for the 1 star is that with each item recommended I asked for the price. I want to give my husband a nice gift, but I'm also 10 months pregnant and have a budget. I agreed to certain items as we went and I calculated in my head I'd be spending about $340. He rings me up and the total was $498. WHAT!!! I went through each item and he added multiple items to my purchase. I questioned each item and he became defensive and said I need those items. Which may be true.. however he should have discussed this with me prior to just throwing them in. I felt swindled and lost trust immediately, I decided to leave without buying anything. I've never done this before, typically I would have just bought the items but I couldn't. I left empty handed. Which ended up being the best decision, I bought the same items along with two of the thrown in items for $220 on Amazon. Don't waste your time or money here!!
